SMELLS LIKE AMOY LIBRO, ALT OR NEU?

“Uy, syanga pala. “what is Ti, ti..tik-baaa-la..ng”?

“Oh my God!, is this the half woman, half..ewan.? Do ya call it “manana…(mananananggal)?”

“Oh, do you have the story of “sirena”? I saw once a Philippine movie like that!“

“I love comic book especially if you can give me one as free souvenir? Do you have “Darna”? Hehehe”

“I’m going to the Philippines for work in few months. I want to eat durian, is that in Ilocos?”

“We traveled 7 hours to be here. Do you have good things to offer us? How about you take us a nice picture with the “Philippines” in front  for a start?

ang mga totoong bibili’y nagtatanong “can I take a photo of this book please?”

sabay sabi ng isa “ I think I know you, I saw you somewhere…”

“Oh yes, you’re the writer and you have that Filipino magazine, right?”

“Can we have a picture together, see my Mom is a Pinay too.”

“Can I also buy your magazine and please sign it for me?”

“Can I have sticker too?”

“are you selling it here or online?”

“I will follow NBDB and your magazine but please follow me back too!”

I say, “no.no.no!” sa interbyu at ako’y mainipin sa susunod na tanong at hindi ako mapalagay

Pilya Blog Magazine was with the National Book Development Board of the Philippines on October 23, 2021 in Frankfurter Buchmesse.

– Maria Ces Seidel
