“I am a hopeless romantic.”

Pork adobo ang No. 1 na pagkaing Pinoy para sa akin. Pinoy na Pinoy ang panlasa. Gustung-gusto ko iyong “super anghang” at luto ni Regina. Ang tawag niya doon ay “magic” at may iba’t-ibang sangkap na spices. Ang iba naman ang gusto’y matamis, maalat o kombinasyon ng tamis-anghang. Ganyan din ang buhay may asawa. Kung nawawala na ang kilig o gana? Paano nga ba ang “magluto ng adobo”?

Ito ang aking payo para manatili ang “magic”.

  1. Kahit busy sa trabaho, find a time na kayo lang dalawa, gaya ng HHWW (holding hands while walking) sa park, pumitas ng ligaw na bulaklak o attend kayo ng sayawan sa plaza. It’s the quality not the quantity that counts. 
  2. Purihin nyo ang isa’t-isa. Si Mister ang “pinaka” kahit hindi mo siya mapilit maglaba. Si Misis din ang “pinaka” at siya’y isang Diyosa sa iyong paningin, may amats ka man o wala. Flattery will get you everywhere.
  3. Misis, manatili kang mabango kahit tabi lang kayo sa sofa, manood ng tv, ganyan. E ano ngayon kung ang kalaban mo ay football? Accept the BIG challenge!
  4. Aha! kumain kayo sa labas at seafoods ang orderin nyo, aphrodisiac foods like oysters, tahong atbp. Maging handa sa magiging “mainit” na resulta. Some like it hot!
  5. Tatandaan: ang problema ay dumarating ngunit hindi namamahay. Face your problems together. Kung may problema kayo sa “S”, harapin nyo. Wag na wag panghihinaan ng loob, humingi ng payo sa isang “pSychologiSt” o “therapiSt”.
  6. Mag-inuman kayo ng beer or red wine paminsan minsan. Magharutan kayo katulad ng magkasintahan palang kayo. Aber, ngayon pa ba kayo mahihiya? Play game, no shame!  
  7. Mag-exercise kayo ng sabay, tapos maligo kayo ng sabay. Ibuhos ang lahat ng sama ng loob, work it out! When you feel good to yourself, you do good to your partner too.
